Hi and welcome to another episode of the Black Hat video series by NickMetrics. I’m Samantha, your spokesperson for this video series. This episode promises to be as interesting as always. In this video, we will consider 301 redirects from an expired domain with a strong backlink profile. What exactly does it mean? And what are its implications? First, why 301 redirect expired domains? Concerning SEO, this is an old, controversial, but great way to rank your website very quickly, thanks to the power of other backlinks from websites that have already built a strong backlink profile. There are, however, wrong and right ways when 301 redirecting experienced domains.=
When you hear the term 301 redirects, it means you are telling the search engines like Google and Bing that the HTTP response code is now a permanent 301 redirect to a new URL or domain. These redirects can be used for little changes on your website.
As the name implies, an expired domain is a domain that has not been renewed (or has expired), and the site/business owner has let go of the domain.
The approach or logic is simple. Take, for example, a single link from a top domain like bbc.com is worth thousand of dollars. Now, if you can find an expired domain with a link from sites like bbc.com, and redirect it to your website. You will get a high priced and quality link at a low price. Also, a single link from such kind of domain has the potential of increasing site authority and rankings in Google. Fundamentally, you must first find expired domains that are either relevant or those with a strong backlink profile. 2 or 3 strong backlinks would suffice. After that, directly 301 them to your target site from the domain panel. This does not involve hosting or content addition. With the numerous steps and techniques involved with Facebook ads, wouldn’t you rather take a simple and convenient step as mentioned in this video to boost your profitability and viability?
